Projekt Ilaiyaraaja Season III — 277/365 — Angel Aadum Angel

Angel Aadum Angel is a club style song that you would have seen in a lot of 80s movies. Probably, Sridhar would have asked that he wants something like Partha Nyabagam Illayo or Chura Liya style song. And Ilaiyaraaja delivers that in his own style.

The song starts with a mesmerising flute prelude with shekere and bass guitar in the background. When the voice starts , you can hear the drums and the first interlude has an amazing sax and probably mandolin solo that will transport you to another world. In the second interlude, you can listen to the short whiff of the middle eastern instrument (Oud?)and then guitar.

The video version of the song has only stanza. There is a confusion on the singer. The LP cover and the movie credits the song to S Janaki but some websites and videos on Youtube credits P Susheela.
